259 Mr. Doherty asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the volume of peat exported in each of the last three years for which figures are available; and the estimated area of peatland or bogland which was excavated to supply this volume of peat. [12219/97]
The figures directly available to me in respect of volumes of peat exports relate to Bord na Móna only. I do not have any direct information available to me in respect of other producers.
