50 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Education if she has made a decision regarding the urgent need for extra staffing at St. Vincent's Secondary School, Seatown Place, Dundalk, County Louth; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12338/97]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that my Department has agreed to increase the approved allocation of teachers to this school for the 1997-8 school year. As a result, two teachers who were scheduled to be redeployed, are being retained in the school.
