74 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Justice the reason no action has been taken on a report of a gun (details supplied) damaged while in storage in Collins Barracks, Cork; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12380/97]
The Deputy will be aware from my reply to her Question No. 221 of 28 January 1997 that I had been informed that the gun referred to was in good working order. Following on the Deputy's recent representations, I requested a report from the Garda authorities on the matter. I will communicate with the Deputy as soon as it is to hand.
