204 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Education the plans, if any, she has to reduce the pupil-teacher ratio to 15:1 in St. Edward's vocational school in Sligo in view of the fact that the school is designated seriously disadvantaged; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12643/97]

The teacher allocation for this school includes provision for remedial, guidance and disadvantage. As a result the actual pupil-teacher ratio in the school at present is below that suggested by the Deputy.
