106 Mr. M. McDowell asked the Minister for Justice the changes, if any, she has made in the arrangements regarding persons in public office getting State cars for life. [12979/97]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 105 and 106 together.
The categories which receive State cars on retirement are former Presidents (1), former Taoisigh (5 at present). I have made no changes to the arrangements regarding persons in public office being allocated a State car for life and I have no proposals to do so.
