Ceist:238 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for the Environment if an application for a new house grant for a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be approved. [13869/97]
New house grants are payable only to first-time owner occupiers of new houses. In this case, the person occupying the house does not own it and, accordingly, a new house grant cannot be allowed.
