74 Mr. Broughan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise and Employment the appointments to State boards made in her Department between 18 November 1994 and 15 December 1994; the date on which these appointments received ministerial sanction; and the date on which the positions to which the appointments were made became vacant. The following appointments to State boards were made in my Department between 18 November 1994 and 15 December 1994:

Forfá s	Mr. Michael Murphy	1 January 1995
	Mr. Jim O'Mahony	1 January 1995

Labour Court	Mr. Pat Pierce	1 January 1995

It would not be possible to state precisely the dates on which these appointments received ministerial sanction. In the case of the Forfás reappointments, that organisation advised the Minister by letter dated 24 November 1994 of the vacancies which were due to arise on 1 January 1995. With regard to the appointment to the Labour Court, IBEC nominated Mr. Pierce as an employers' representative in a letter dated 19 October 1994.
