542 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Education the current stage of the provision of an urgently needed security fence at primary schools (details supplied) in Dublin North East. [15209/97]
567 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Education when his Department will sanction and construct the badly needed boundary fence at Gaelscoil Míde and North Bay primary school in Kilbarrack, Dublin 13; and his views on whether the current dangerous structure must be replaced immediately. [14411/97]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 542 and 567 together.
My Department has accepted that the boundary fence at Gaelscoil Míde and North Bay Multi-Denominational School requires to be replaced. The design work has been completed and planning permission obtained. The tender process is currently under way. On selection of a suitable tenderer, my Department will be in touch with the school managements in regard to having the work executed.
