Ceist:

101 Mr. Durkan asked the Taoiseach the number of consultancy contracts awarded by him or by the Ministers of State at his Department; their value and purpose; the costs in terms of salary or consultancy fees; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15034/97]

The Taoiseach:

There have been no consultancy contracts awarded by me or the Minister of State at my Department. There were, however, some consultancies commissioned by the previous administration which will continue in my Department where necessary.
