Vol. 480 No. 7

Written Answers. - Buckley Report.

Thomas P. Broughan

Ceist:

27 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the terms of the Buckley Report which will be applied to the payment to State commercial enterprises under her remit. [14948/97]

At this juncture I should point out to the Deputy that the remuneration of chief executives in State companies is set out by the Review Body on Higher Remuneration in the Public Service. The most recent report (No. 37) of the review body, also known as the Buckley Report is available in the Library of the House. It has not yet been implemented by the Government.

General responsibility for public sector pay, and for the review body, rests with the Minister for Finance.
