226 Mr. P. Carey asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform whether he will consider the provision of cameras in outlying areas of Finglas, Dublin 11, where there is significant evidence of anti-social behaviour in the context of installing closed circuit television in the Finglas area; when the closed circuit television scheme will be implemented in the Finglas area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. : I am informed by the Garda authorities that plans for the provision of a CCTV system for the Finglas area are well advanced. The tender specification for the system is currently being prepared and is expected to be finalised shortly. However, given the requirement to comply with the public procurement procedures as well as planning regulations it is expected that it will be early next year before installation of the camera system can commence.
