Ceist:117 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason for the delay in the registration of two folios (details supplied) in County Mayo. [16615/97]
Written Answers - Registration of Title.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this dealing refers to an application under section 49 (i.e. acquisition of title by virtue of long possession) of the Registration of Titles Act, 1964 which was lodged on 20 February 1997. I understand that due to their complicated nature, applications under section 49 take some time to process and it is not possible to estimate a completion date at this stage.
I am further informed that recent correspondence received from the lodging solicitor is being examined and that replies will issue shortly.
