51 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will make the necessary finance available for the provision of a new Gaelscoil in Ballinasloe, County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16570/97]
Officials of the planning and building unit of my Department met recently with representatives of the school in order to advance the process of providing permanent accommodation.
The school is currently pursuing identification of a suitable site and when this process has been completed, my Department will advance the matter. In the meantime, the school is examining draft layout plans for the proposed school. The issue of funding the project will be addressed when the planning work has advanced.
