Written Answers - Multi-Denominational Schools.
Generally, where the establishment of multi-denominational schools represents the wishes of parents and the level of demand is sufficient to maintain viable school units I will facilitate and support the establishment of such schools.
The Commission on School Accommodation Needs is currently drawing up detailed criteria for the recognition of new primary schools including multi-denominational schools.
I have recently met with Educate Together concerning all issues relating to multi-denominational schools and will continue to support its considerable contribution to primary education.
