126 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation whether his Department will make allocations for sporting and recreational facilities from the proceeds of the national lottery; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17432/97]
The Sports Capital Programme administered by my Department is funded by the national lottery. Grants under this programme for 1997 have been allocated and all available funds for this year have been committed to existing projects. Allocations for 1998 will be considered in the context of the 1998 Estimates.
