Written Answers. - Medical Rehabilitation.
The report of the national advisory committee on medical rehabilitation of the National Rehabilitation Board was received recently by my Department. The report is currently being evaluated in the Department. The report contains a series of recommendations relating to the development of medical rehabilitation in Ireland which are aimed at: the universities; the acute hospital sector, and the health boards relating to community-based medical rehabilitation.
The report also contains goals and priorities as a framework for implementing the recommendations and I would like to acknowledge the commitment and work of the advisory committee over the past four years in producing the report.
