190 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Finance the time scale of works to be carried out by the Office of Public Works at Dublin Bridge, Mullingar, County Westmeath on the Royal Canal; the estimated cost of this work; and the expected completion date. [20590/97]
Works to replace the Dublin Road Bridge, also known as Moran's Bridge, Mullingar, are being carried out by the Office of Public Works on behalf of the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands and commenced on Wednesday, 19 November 1997. The works are expected to be completed by mid 1998. The estimated cost is of the order of £1.5 million.
