279 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the current situation regarding Crossmolina sewerage scheme and Knock sewerage scheme, County Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20044/97]
The Knock sewerage scheme will be included as a scheme to be advanced through planning in my Department's water and sewerage services investment programme for 1998.
The Crossmolina sewerage scheme was included in the water and sewerage services investment programme 1997 and a preliminary report for the scheme was approved by my Department in May, 1997. Contract documents on the scheme are currently being prepared by the local authority.
