101 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Health and Children the stage of planning of the proposed nursing health care unit in Cootehill, County Cavan; when tenders will be invited in respect of this project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20763/97]
As the Deputy is aware, the provision of this type of facility in Cootehill is a matter for the North-Eastern Health Board in the first instance. I have been advised by the North-Eastern Health Board that planning permission has been sought for this project and, subject to permission being granted, the board hopes to be in a position to seek tenders in 1998.
