276 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason for the delay in laying the report of the Inspector for Mental Hospitals, 1995 in the Oireachtas Library; when the report will be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21125/97]

The most recent published report, that for the year ending 31 December 1995, was laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas on 25 February 1997. The inspector's report for 1996 is currently being collated and will be laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas as soon as possible.
