Ceist:284 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children the current position regarding the erection of a new health centre for Newbridge, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21397/97]

The provision of a health centre in Newbridge is a matter for the Eastern Health Board, in the first instance. The position in relation to this proposed health centre is that it will be considered in the context of the capital resources available in 1998 and competing demands.
