Vol. 483 No. 6

Written Answers. - School Accommodation.

John Bruton

Ceist:

461 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will undertake an intensive review of primary school provision in Rathoath, County Meath in view of the exceptionally rapid population growth of Rathoath in order to ensure that no problems arise in relation to accommodating children. [20981/97]

An extension comprising of eight classrooms, a general purpose room and ancillary accommodation has recently been provided at Rathoath national school to take account of increasing pupil numbers. In view of continuing housing provision and population growth, the planning section of my Department will continue to review the school accommodation needs of the area, on an annual basis.
