492 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Education and Science the support, if any, which will be available to Castlebar campus, Regional Technical College Galway, with particular reference to the technological sector in view of his announcement of 6 November 1997 regarding the £250 million Education Technology Investment Fund; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Draft legislation to establish the new Scientific and Technological Education (Investment) Fund was published recently. As soon as the process of putting the various elements and structures in place is completed, the way will be clear for decisions on prioritising of projects for funding.
Projects submitted by Galway Regional Technical College, along with proposals from other third level institutions, will be considered for this funding from 1998 onwards.
