132 Mr. Higgins (Dublin West) asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if he will give details of properties disposed of by Coillte in each of the years 1990, 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995 and 1996 in view of the fact that the annual report of Coillte Teoranta for 1996 states that the sale of non-strategic properties is a consistent source of revenue and in 1996 another excellent result was achieved; the character of the properties where they relate to areas of land; their locations in this regard and their area in hectares. It is the policy of Coillte Teoranta, in pursuit of its commercial mandate, to dispose of surplus, non-strategic properties where it is economically advantageous to do so.

My Department does not hold the detailed information sought by the Deputy. However, Coillte is compiling the information for the years in question and I will forward the information to the Deputy as soon as it is available.
