Financial Resolutions 1998. - Financial Resolution No. 3: Vehicle Registration Tax
(1) THAT as respects vehicle registration tax charged, levied and paid as on and from the 1st day of January, 1998, subsection (3) (inserted by the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1992 (No. 28 of 1992)) of section 132 of the Finance Act, 1992 (No. 9 of 1992), be amended-
(a) in paragraph (a), by the substitution of "28 per cent." for "29.25 per cent." (inserted by section 85 of the Finance Act, 1994 (No. 13 of 1994)),
(b) in paragraph (b), by the substitution of "22.5 per cent." for "23.2 per cent." (inserted by section 85 of the Finance Act, 1994 (No. 13 of 1994)).
(2) IT is hereby declared that it is expedient in the public interest that this Resolution shall have statutory effect under the provisions of the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act, 1927 (No. 7 of 1927).
