135 Ms M. McGennis asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if he will target funding from the drugs task force towards the purchase of land for Cherry Orchard Football Club in Ballyfermot, Dublin 10 in view of the fact that the land in question is in the ownership of the Eastern Health Board and is beyond the means of the club. The targeting of funding is a matter in the first instance for the local drugs task force team who prepare plans for the National Drugs Strategy Team for submission for approval for funding from Government. No proposal along the lines referred to by the Deputy has been included in the plan for the Ballyfermot-Cherry Orchard area. However, I am pleased to say that Cherry Orchard Football Club has already received grants from my Department totalling £35,000 under the sports capital programme to assist it in developing its existing facilities.
