259 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government where the land based sewerage sludge outlet in respect of the Dublin Bay Project (Contract No. 1, Interim Sludge Treatment and Disposal Works) will be located; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21998/97]
Tenders were invited for contract No. 1 on a design and build basis and tenderers were asked to submit proposals for sludge disposal with their tenders. The tenders received are at present being evaluated by the local authority and the location for sludge disposal cannot be determined until a decision is taken on them.
