283 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if she will have arrangements made with the Office of Public Works to forward a plan to a local development association (details supplied) in County Kilkenny to allow it complete a project undertaken some years ago; and if senior officials from that Office will meet with the local committees in order that progress can be made in this regard. The project in question has an allocation of £200,000 under the EU Operational Programme for Tourism 1994-99 and is being carried out by the National Monuments and Historic Properties Service of my Department. Proposals for completion of the project will be finalised when the results of investigative work being undertaken at present are available. Details of further works will be conveyed to the local development association as soon as possible. It is intended to complete the project within the time frame of the Operational Programme.
