Ceist:

93 Ms Fitzgerald asked the Taoiseach whether the contract for the electronic publishing of the statutes has been awarded by the Office of the Attorney General; if so, to whom the contract was awarded; the value of the contract; the date by which the Statutes will be available to the public on CD ROM; and, if not, the reasons, if any, there are for the delay in awarding the contract. The final details of the contract for the electronic publication of the Irish Statute Book are being finalised with the successful tenderer — Juta & Co. Ltd. of Capetown, South Africa. The contract sum of £610,860 and the project is expected to take 10 months to complete. It is expected that the project will commence in January 1998 and that the CD-ROM will be available to the public in November 1998.
