Written Answers - Recreational Facilities Scheme.
My Department does not provide sports complex facilities but applications for such facilities can be made to the Department of Tourism, Sport and Recreation. Grant assistance equating to the provision of a standard PE hall only can be considered by my Department.
An application for grant aid for the provision of sports facilities at St. Macartan's College has been received and discussions have taken place with officials from the Planning and Building Unit of my Department. This is one of a number of projects which will be considered for inclusion in the 1998 capital programme.
