186 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Finance if he will include County Wicklow in the special scheme for the hotel industry announced in the budget in view of the shortage of quality bed spaces in County Wicklow; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22863/97]

The purpose of the scheme is to give an incentive to individuals to invest in quality hotel accommodation in the north and north west of the country. It is not proposed, therefore, to extend the scheme to County Wicklow.
