140 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children the total number of patients awaiting orthodontic treatment; the longest length of time a patient on the list has been waiting; the action, if any, he proposes to take to reduce the waiting time; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of orthodontic treatment for persons with entitlements under the Health Acts is the statutory responsibility of the health boards. The waiting lists for orthodontic treatment are maintained by the boards and I have asked the boards for the details sought by the Deputy. I will write to the Deputy with these details as soon as they are available.
