178 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department will provide full funding for a site and for the construction of a school premises for the Galway school project; and if his Department will provide similar financial support to the Sligo school project which is currently in the process of providing a permanent premises at St Anne's, Sligo. I am in the process of finalising an initiative on new national schools and expect to complete the work shortly. In this task, I will be drawing on the work of the Commission on School Accommodation Needs.

Pending completion of work on the initiative, I cannot give undertakings in respect of specific schools.
