235 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the amount of funding paid by his Department, from whatever source, to county councils for the repair and maintenance of regional and county roads on a county by county basis for each of the years from 1993 to 1997. [3431/98]
Details of grant payments to county councils for the years 1993 to 1996 inclusive are contained in the booklet "State Grant Payments to Local Authorities for National, Non-National and Non-Public Accommodation Roads and own resources expenditure by Local Authorities on National and Non-National Roads in the period 1989-1997" which is available in the Oireachtas Library. Details of the 1997 payments are set out in Table 1.
