73 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Education and Science his response to the written submission (details supplied) made to him by the Dyslexic Support Centre, Barringtons, George's Quay, Limerick; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3563/98]
My Department is currently considering the submission referred to by the Deputy.
In May 1997 a once-off grant of £14,000 was sanctioned for the centre referred to by the Deputy. To comply with Government financial procedures, the centre was requested to submit a tax clearance certificate to my Department so that the payment could proceed. To date, the tax clearance certificate requested has not been supplied to my Department. On receipt of the appropriate certificate, the grant to which I referred will issue.
