I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Gay Mitchell — the subject matter of Parliamentary Question No. 768 to the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform about the harassment of a couple (details supplied) in Dublin 12; (2) Deputy Deasy — the necessity of a sewerage scheme for the village of Cheekpoint in County Waterford; (3) Deputy Perry — the action the Minister for Education and Science proposes to take to deal with the fact that in 25 schools in Sligo the measures introduced to deal with the risk to children of radon gas are proving ineffective; (4) Deputy Gormley — the multiple application for licences to genetically engineer sugar beet, in the absence of sufficient Government policy or legislative controls; (5) Deputy Sargent — the Government's position on the Multilateral Agreement on Investment, taking into account the concerns expressed on this proposed agreement by developmental and aid agencies; (6) Deputy Ring — the plans, if any, the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform has to regulate or prevent public demonstrations on the main streets in Dublin; (7) Deputy Richard Bruton — the implications for education policy of the growing problem of discipline in our schools and the recent incident of assault on a teacher; (8) Deputy Jim Higgins — the urgent need for the Minister of Justice, Equality and Law Reform to deal with the chronic overcrowding at Mountjoy Jail; (9) Deputy Upton — the need for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to outline his plans regarding prison accommodation including initiatives for alternatives to prison for certain offenders and the measures he is taking to ensure that conditions in Mountjoy Jail meet internationally accepted standards; (10) Deputy McGinley — the need to find an alternative air transport service to continue regular daily flights between Donegal International Airport, Carrickfin and Dublin due to the recent liquidation of E.I. Air Exports.
