158 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in the payment of the REP scheme grants to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick who is awaiting payments for organic grants for the first, second and third year REP schemes. [4166/98]

The delay in processing this applicant's payments is due to the fact that the agri-environmental plan submittted at the end of his first year, incorporating his claim for organic payment, was found to be deficient. A revised plan, which was submitted last week, is now being examined.
