245 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if she has finalised the areas in each county to be designated either as special areas of conservation or national heritage areas; if she will provide a map of these areas; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 216 of 7 Deireadh Fómhair 1997. The process outlined in that reply is continuing.

While the Deputy will have already received maps which were forwarded to him last October, I have now arranged for copies of larger-scale maps which are currently available to be sent to him.
