163 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the State boards under her responsibility which have a member under the age of 30; the nominator of this member to the board; and the measures, if any, she proposes to increase the number of young people on these boards. I should point out to the Deputy that information relating to the exact age of appointees to boards under the aegis of my Department is not generally available to me, and given the large number of boards and agencies under the aegis of my Department, it is not practicable to ascertain the position in the time allowed. Appointments to such bodies are made on the basis of the qualifications and suitability of the individuals concerned.
