145 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) will receive the balance of his headage and beef premium grants; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4406/98]

The person named was paid his full entitlement of £1,537.61 on 12 November 1997 under the 1997 cattle headage scheme. This amount was limited by his forage area as declared on his 1997 area aid application and his application under the 1997 cattle headage scheme was also subject to an overall limit of 1.4 livestock units per forage hectare as set out in the terms and conditions governing this scheme.

The person named applied on 19 animals under the 1997 suckler cow scheme but holds a suckler cow quota for 11 animals. The person named has received his full entitlement of £1,542.53, based on the quota, a 60 per cent advance of £925.51 was paid on 12 November 1997 and the balance of £617.02 was paid on 19 February 1998. The person named was paid his full entitlement of £270 on 12 November 1997 under the 1997 sheep headage scheme. The sheep headage top-up of £27 was paid on 11 December 1997.

The person named was paid his full entitlement of £483.92 under the 1997 ewe premium scheme. The first advance of £244.36 was paid on 8 July 1997; the second advance of £95.46 was paid on 13 November 1997 and the balance of £144.10 was paid on 16 February 1998.

There is no record of receipt of special beef premium applications during 1997 from the person concerned. The last recorded applications were in 1994 and all were fully paid.

The person named received his full entitlement of £1,057.80 on 28 November 1997 under the 1997 cattle headage scheme.

The person named applied on ten animals under the 1997 suckler cow scheme but holds a suckler cow quota for nine animals. The person named received his full entitlement of £1,262.07, based on the quota, a 60 per cent advance of £757.24 was paid on 28 November 1997 and the balance of £504.83 was paid on 19 February 1998.

There is no record of receipt of special beef premium applications during 1997 or previously from the person concerned.
