152 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Health and Children the State boards under his responsibility which have a member under the age of 30; the nominator of this member to the board; and the measures, if any, he proposes to increase the number of young people on these boards. [4372/98]
The Deputy will note that the membership of boards under my aegis are made up of elected persons and the nominees of other bodies together with persons directly appointed by the Government and myself. Appointments to State boards are made by me on the basis of the qualifications and suitability of the individuals concerned. My Department does not maintain records in respect of the ages of such individuals.
