225 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if it is intended to carry out renovation and restoration works to Doe Castle, Creeslough, County Donegal; the nature of the works to be carried out on the castle; the estimated cost of the project; and when works will be completed. Dúchas, the Heritage Service of my Department, is currently engaged in restoration work at Doe Castle, Creeslough, County Donegal. The work to the castle includes the provision of services, the re-roofing and flooring of the tower house and re-erection of the McSweeney tomb slab within the tower house at an overall cost of approximately £150,000. It is hoped to complete this work in 1999.
