245 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs the names, duties and rates of remuneration of all public relation consultants or other consultants engaged by his Department from 26 June 1997 to date. [6260/98]

In the period 26 June 1997 to date, no public relations consultants have been employed by my Department. The following other consultancy firms were engaged by my Department to provide assistance in respect of the projects listed.

Andersen Consulting

Project management support of the continuous computing capability and information technology facilities reorganisation projects. Cost: £121,000.

Alignment Consulting

Facilitation service in support of the continuous computing capability project and information technology facilities reorganisation project. Cost £2,782.

Goodbody Economic Consultants

Review of the incentive effects of secondary welfare benefits on people considering whether to remain in or take up employment. Cost £25,865.

Research on the impact of the community development programme on local urban and rural development. Cost £16,011.

Review of the efficiency and effectiveness of the school meals scheme. Cost £10,527.

Delpi Software Ltd.

Review of the approach to and progress on testing of the Department's computer software in advance of the year 2000. Cost £3,025.

Edward Delaney and Associates

Provision of assistance in the development of the Department's strategic management process. Cost £2,178.

Ms Grainne Healy

Provision of editorial consultancy on the community development plan. Cost £4,114.
