I propose to answer Questions Nos. 44 and 45 together.

The overseas tourism and travel statistics published by the Central Statistics Office historically cover (i) the number of visits to Ireland by persons who are usually resident overseas — Irish residents returning from visits abroad are excluded; and (ii) the number of visits abroad by Irish residents. For visits abroad by Irish residents, no information is requested on the individual country of destination.

For visitors to Ireland, the geographical area breakdown available includes Africa as a whole but not individual countries within Africa. Thus, the requested statistics on Egypt are not available from the Central Statistics Office.
