Ceist:125 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding the proposed new inner city community college, Dublin 1; and the time-scale for its completion and opening. [6715/98]
Written Answers - Schools Building Projects.
The current position in relation to the north inner city community college is that my Department has recently authorised City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee to seek tenders for the project. Under the public procurement guidelines the restricted tendering procedure will be used. This requires pre-qualification of interested firms followed by invitation to tender.
The objective is that the community college will open on 1 September 1999.
