Vol. 489 No. 6

Written Answers. - Farm Forestry Partnership.

Dan Neville

Ceist:

192 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources when a decision will be made on an application to the forest service in October 1997, which was accompanied by the relevant maps and plans, for a proposed farm forestry partnership development on lands (details supplied) in County Limerick. [9109/98]

Due to the existence of environmental sensitivities relating to the specific lands in question my Department had to conduct a series of liaisons with competent agencies, in this instance Limerick County Council, the National Monuments section of the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands and the Shannon Regional Fisheries Board. Following receipt of advice from these agencies a decision was made and conveyed to the applicant.
