123 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when tenders will be invited in relation to the provision of the new branch library in Cootehill, County Cavan; when construction work is likely to commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10329/98]
My Department gave approval to Cavan County Council to seek tenders for the construction of a branch library at Cootehill, County Cavan, on 9 April 1998. It is now a matter for the county council to seek tenders and to prepare a tender action report for submission to my Department. Construction work cannot commence until the tender process has been completed.
