Vol. 490 No. 4

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

John V. Farrelly

Ceist:

144 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has received details of a feasibility study for St. Oliver's Post Primary School, Oldcastle, County Meath; if so, when this will be approved by his Department; when the development of the school will commence to the next stage; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10284/98]

My Department's post primary building unit has recently received the feasibility study in connection with the provision of new accommodation for St. Oliver's post primary school, Oldcastle, County Meath.

This study, which contains a number of possible options in respect of the school, is at present being assessed by the technical staff of the Department. As soon as this assessment has been completed, it is intended to arrange a meeting with representatives of the County Meath VEC and the board of management of the school to agree the most feasible and cost effective option for the provision of the necessary accommodation.
