69 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of people on waiting lists for nursing home care in each health board area; and if he will make a statement on the proposals, if any, he has to deal with this. [10242/98]
The data requested by the Deputy is not readily available within my Department. I have asked the health boards to supply information on the number of nursing home subvention applications on hand and the number of older people awaiting admission to health board extended care facilities or contract beds. The information will be compiled in my Department and I will write to the Deputy as soon as possible.
