Officials of my Department recently met with officials of the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform to discuss the issue of children from other countries being brought into Ireland for care and medical treatment. Arising from that meeting, my Department will be raising the issue with the health board programme managers group before having further discussions with the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform in order to finalise an approach to the issue.
